  • I cannot climb stairs, do you have accessible treatment rooms?
    If you are unable to safely go up and down stairs, please advise our staff at your earliest convenience and we can ensure you are booked in a treatment room on the ground level.
  • How should I prepare for my gel manicure or pedicure appointment?
    If you have existing gel polish on your nails, let us know so we can also account for the time needed to remove the existing gel before starting your service. Also note that French manicures or pedicures take a bit longer so make sure to book the appropriate service if you are looking for French nails.
  • When can I book an appointment for a Brazilian wax?
    When your hair is at least a quarter of an inch in length (approximately 3-4 weeks of regrowth), you can book.Please note that your menstrual cycle may decrease your pain tolerance. We therefore booking your Brazilian wax for the week after your period.We also recommend not engaging in sexual activity, not exfoliating the area, and not sunbathing or UV tanning for the first 24-48 hours after your appointment, so you should also look at your social calendar before booking to make the most of your vacations or nights out.
  • I’ve never had an eyelash lift and tint. What do I need to know before my appointment?
    Make sure to show up with a fresh face; this appointment requires you to have no makeup on at the time of your appointment and for the following 48 hours after your lift. You also cannot get your eyelashes wet for 48 hours. Be careful when washing your face for the two days following the appointment and plan your next trip to the pool accordingly.
  • Is there parking available?
    All our myspa clients, with an appointment, will receive a text confirmation which will include a link, inviting you to park in our private parking lot to the rear of the building. Feel free to park in any spots labeled "authorized parking only." Only paid parking is enforced from May 1st – October 1st. If you are a Pickering resident or over the age of 65 you can register at the City to get a permit, which lasts two years. If you don’t want to get a permit, there are QR codes on outside light posts, which links to the HotSpot app. Once linked, you simply type in your license plate number, then select 1 or 2 hours, then hit the 'park' button. Anyone who uses this method will get up to 2 hours free parking along Liverpool road and public parking lots in our village. If you select 3 hours or more you'll need to pay. Parking fees $2.50 per hour before 5pm $5 per hour after 5pm and weekends
  • How do you ensure the safety of your clients?
    Due to the nature of the services we offer, myspa takes all disinfection procedures very seriously. Ever since our conception - we have adhered to the Durham Region Health Department procedures and protocols for proper disinfection of tools. At myspa, we only use metal instruments, metal pedicure basins and metal manicure bowls in order to safely clean and disinfect the tools and bowls before and after each and every client. A thorough cleanse and intermediate level disinfectant approved by the Durham Region Health Department is used (70% Isopropyl Alcohol). In the event our metals tools come in contact with any micro-organisms, a thorough cleanse and high level disinfectant approved by Durham Region Health Department is used (1:50 Chlorine bleach solution). Any disposable items such as a nail buffer, mascara wand and pedicure slippers are one time use only and immediately discarded after use. Our Microblading services follow a very strict guideline to protect the client and Therapist performing the service. All blades come sterile with a lot number and are immediately disposed in a sharps container after use. All instruments used, even the metal handle that holds the blade are immediately disinfected before and after each treatment. The entire room including the table you lay on is cleaned and disinfected before and after every treatment. You have the right to know before you go "As of June 1, 2016 all personal services settings operating in Durham Region are required to participate in accordance with the Durham Region Personal Services Setting By-law # 17-2016. Under the new program, each time a public health inspector visits a premises to conduct a routine inspection, one of the three Durham Personal Services Inspection Summary signs - Green (PASS), Yellow (CONDITIONAL PASS) or Red (CLOSED) will be given. Once a sign is issued, it is required to be posted immediately in a conspicuous area at, or near, the main public entrance to the premises establishment, such that it is clearly visible to members of the public."   • I can’t make it to my appointment, how can I cancel?
    Please consider that our business is appointment based and “no-shows” or last minute cancellations leave our Spa Therapists with empty appointment times. Please allow 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel your appointment with us. Note that you cannot cancel an online booked appointment, you must contact us do to so. Thank you for your consideration.
